Nigerian student graduates with 5.0 CG PA in Russian University

A Nigerian student Victor Olalusi has emerged the best graduating student with a grade point of 5.0 in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences at the Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow. According to his friends, Olalusi previously had the best WAEC result in 2004. JAMB Best Science Student (JAMB score 322) - 2006. Cowbell Prize Award - 2006. Medcine First Merit list (OAU) - 2006. Highest OAU Post UME (score - 325) - 2006. Federal Government Scholarship (Medicine and Surgery) - 2006. Wow! Congrats to him.

 

Rapper Rick Ross sued by Jeweler for unpaid Rolexes 

This is really embarrassing for the Maybach boss, Showing off what he didn't pay for. Lol.

A jeweler is suing rapper Rick Ross for absconding with about $90,000 worth of Rolexes that he didn’t pay for. According to reports, Rick Ross bought 3 diamond Rolexes from a famous hip hop jeweler in Texas last year and still hasn't paid for it.

 Johnny's Custom Jewelery tells TMZ they delivered one 18K gold watch with 30CT of diamonds ($55,000), one 18K gold watch with 7CT of diamonds ($14,000), and one two-tone watch with 5CT of diamonds ($14,000) to Maybach Music last August but Rick Ross never paid up.

Johnny's Custom is suing Rick Ross and Maybach Music for the total amount due plus interest.

Govt officials withdraw support for OJB due to misinformation on funds raised

 

There have been speculations that some celebrities have been to see OJB and made some donations. While it's true that the likes of Don Jazzy, P-Square, Ruggedman, Mercy Johnson, Iyanya, Julius Aguw have contributed, the other names on the list that circulated today are 100% false. For instance, D'banj didn't give N7m, Wizkid didn't give N3m and 2face didn't give N1.5m. Head of fund raising committee for #SaveOJB, singer Nomoreloss, says the hype and misinformation is affecting efforts to raise the complete money OJB needs for his treatment.

Iyanya and manager Ubi Franklin donate N1million to OJB 

Iyanya and his manager/business partner Ubi Franklin this evening visited ailing super producer OJB Jezreel at his Gbaja, Surulere residence and donated N1million to him. I learnt that OJB produced 'Gbadun You', the first track on Iyanya's first album after he won Project Fame in 2008. Iyanya and Ubi returned from London recently and went straight to see OJB. God bless them.

Katy Perry Named Billboard’s Woman of the Year

Congratulations to Katy Perry! The singer has been named Billboard’s Woman of the Year — and based on her chart records, it’s a title she more than earned.

Perry is the first (and so far only) woman to have five No. 1 hits from one record, in this case ‘Teenage Dream,’ in the entire history of the Billboard charts. Not even her idol Madonna accomplished that! ‘Teenage Dream’ was on the chart for over 100 consecutive weeks, with a record making 69 weeks with at least one track in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 chart. She even broke Michael Jackson‘s singles record and won the Billboard Spotlight Award for 2012, so this was well-deserved. Additionally, Perry’s massive 2011 California Dreams tour sold out a whopping 124 arenas worldwide — and donated a large chunk of the ticket sales to various charities. Her heart is almost as big as her … sales! It’s seriously hard to believe she’s only been around the music scene since 2008, because she’s pretty much a constant fixture. She joins previous honorees Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Fergie in nabbing the prestigious award.

When she nabbed the NARM Award in May, she boasted, “It’s really so fun working so hard, because I like reaching my goals — I don’t know about you. I have to say that I do a lot to sell my records. I do the right things … I work very hard! I like to sell out in all the best ways.”


SkyBlu of LMFAO Reconfirms They Are Not Breaking Up

In case it was unclear — and we can’t say we blame him for wanting to doubly confirm, given how out of hand the situation has gotten — SkyBlu, one half of LMFAO, has reconfirmed that the synth pop party rockers are not breaking up. Last week’s media spiral made it appear that the duo, comprised of Redfoo and SkyBlu, who are uncle and nephew, respectively, had called it quits. But the twosome have moved quickly to quell the rumors and stanch the bleeding. SkyBlu’s statement, released Monday (Sept. 24), read as follows (according to ABC News Radio): LMFAO has not broken up. My uncle and partner, Redfoo, and I have decided to take some time between albums to explore our own interests in music and other areas in entertainment. SkyBlu also reaffirmed both his and his uncle’s commitment to the mission of party rocking and to LMFAO, saying, “Redfoo and I are Party Rockers for life. We love and respect one another and support each other in everything we do.” PartyRock4Life, yo! Sounds like the twosome needs to get tattoos to prove that they are still an entity. So get it straight. They are each taking time apart to work on other things, which they are well within their rights to do, but that does not spell the end for LMFAO. Get it? Got it? Good



Kanye West Claims Sex Tapes Were Stolen From His Computer

Well, that didn’t take long. Lawyers for Kanye West have already begun firing off strongly worded letters to stop the dissemination of their client’s sex tapes, even threatening websites that have posted screenshots without any nudity. According to a statement obtained by E! Online, the two tapes in question were somehow stolen off Kanye’s computer. How thieves managed to do as much is still unclear, but apparently, at no point did he ever willingly give up the personal property or okay its spread. Consequently, anyone who views said image or footage would be doing so illegally and therefore be subject to fines and charges. As of press time, it’s unclear how many people have actually seen either of the tapes. Various outlets reportedly viewed the footage as it was being offered for sale, but none of it seems to have made its way on the Internet, save a few random screencaps. If even a minute of the real footage does make its way online, today’s statement will likely seem positively jovial compared to the righteous anger that will spew forth at that point. At first, given his girlfriend’s famous sex tape, it was unclear if Kanye would care about the world seeing any of his. Today, he more than cleared up any lingering questions. He will fight tooth and nail to bury these tapes, and given his resources, there’s no reason to think he won’t succeed.
