From all indications, this song/video is currently doing some damage on Cable/Satellite TV and clubs across South Africa. It’s by veteran South African duo/group MAFIKIZOLO and the joint is titled “KHONA”. I remember these guys from about a decade ago when they stormed Africa with that Kwaito banger, “Ndihamba Nawe”. Good to know they’re still going strong.
Their new album is out now and it features Nigerian star acts like May D. The Kwaito and Trance fusion in their music can only be described with one word… Legendary!!! It has been described as kwaito-cum-marabi house music. Their music deals with pertinent social issues such as women and children abuse, poverty, the importance of education and the dangers of casual sex.
